Maine’s Sebago-Long Lake Region.
Lamb’s Mill Inn is located in the small
picturesque village of Naples, Maine, just 28 miles west of Portland
and 25 miles east of North Conway, NH. Nestled on 20 acres of
field and woods this charming old farmhouse was built by Frank Lamb
between 1860- and 1870 as a private residence..
The farmhouse, was used by several families
before the present owners acquired it in 1987. The inn was named
Lamb’s Mill Inn in deference to the Lamb family. Tastefully
restored and expanded by the present owners, a psychotherapist and an
artist, the inn is decorated in a combination of antiques and
contemporary teak furniture and features an interesting collection of
original paintings and artworks..
A visit to the adjacent Studio features more artworks
for your viewing pleasure or perhaps to make a purchase, Our six rooms
offer guests the opportunity to snuggle down under beautiful quilts and
read that book you brought or just take a short snooze before dinner or
visit our five-person hot tub.
A deck that runs along the back of the inn
with a view of the gardens, field and woods, offers guests a place to
sun, to read or to watch the many colorful birds that come to the bird
feeders and the flower and vegetable gardens. Certain times of
the day one can see flocks of wild turkeys, deer grazing in the field
or an occasional moose that wanders by. A short walk from the inn takes
you to the village shops, restaurants and the lake where, on a clear
day, one can see Mt. Washington and the other peaks of the White
Mountains, while you stroll the walkway along the lake and the village
center..
For over a century Naples Village has been the summer
destination of folks from Boston and New York. Today you will
find tourists enjoying the varied water sports on the lake.
